is married to Sue & currently serves as
our Senior Pastor. After a career in
retail banking, Peter studied at Bristol
Baptist College before taking on the
pastorate of Castle Hill Baptist Church
in Warwick. He and Sue moved to Nailsea
in 2018 and really enjoy being part of
the family here. They have two daughters;
Ruth and Grace, who is married to Tom.
Outside of church life Peter is a rugby
fan and keen walker and skier.
Originally from North Wales, Heulwen
moved to Nailsea in late 2018 after
completing her degree in Youth Work,
Communities & Practical Theology
with MCYM. Her faith has helped her
navigate storms in her life, and is
the driving force behind her work
with our young people. When she’s
not with her church family, you’ll
find her watching the sunset by the
sea or catching up on her favourite
shows with a nice cup of tea.

Claire is married to Pete and is Mum
to four super boys. She divides her
time between working for the church
and managing the house and family.
She enjoys baking and trying to keep
fit to work off the baking! Her
favourite place to be is by the sea
with her family.

Margaret is in training to become a Baptist
minister. Alongside her studies she
teaches music locally. Margaret is married
to Colin and they have two teenage children.
She is particularly keen to reach out to the
marginalised in our community.

Graham was one of the group that founded
Nailsea Baptist. Over the years he has
led worship, helped with the Youth, and
has now been Treasurer for 13 years!
His profession was as a Pensions Actuary,
and was Trustee of the Baptist Union
Pension scheme for 17 yrs.
Ian works as an IT manager for a logistics
company based in Swindon. He has lived in
Nailsea with his wife Lisa for 30 years and
they have 3 grown up children. Ian is a
very keen cyclist and has just completed
a 980 miles cycling from Land’s End to
John O Groats.
Judith is a retired civil servant with 3
married daughters and 2 granddaughters.
Since retiring Judith has had the opportunity
to spend more time on gardening, arts and
crafts and exploring the beautiful Somerset
countryside. Having lived in Nailsea for
over 20 years, she loves to get out for
walking or cycling trips - especially if
they include tea and cake!
Adam has lived in Nailsea for over 30
years and currently works for a Private
Bank. He enjoys walking, cycling, football

South West Coast Path walk as great ways
to explore our country.
Martin is married to Mary, with two
daughters and 5 grandchildren. He is
retired but still finding plenty to keep
himself occupied, including as a performing
member of Nailsea Musicals and a director
of the Nailsea Community Trust. In the
church Martin is currently Church Secretary
and he helps with Livewires
and the Coffee Shop.
Crawford's Telfer's faith in Christ began
50 years ago as a teenager. His dream then
was to make films about Jesus.
Now after 35 years doing just that,
he is retired but still active with the camera
and now also preaching about his Lord which
has become his no.1 passion.
Peter is married and has four energetic
boys. When he isn't doing his job as an
electrical engineer or helping in church,
he likes to spend time in the countryside,
go surfing and is trying to write a book.
Josh is married to Jo and they have two
children. He is currently a teacher and
also enjoys watching movies, gardening,
DIY projects, football and creating
things out of wood. His dream is to one
day build his own house.
